Thanksgiving Finale

Wasn’t it nice when people weren’t rushing to the store and pushing one another to get to the last shirt in their size? On the one day of the year where were supposed to be thankful for what we have, people are shopping. Now that stores are opening on thanksgiving nobody gets a chance to spend quality time with their families and reunite with one another. Rather people eat dinner with their families, chit chat a little and rush to their favorite store to get an item that’s $3 cheaper than it usually is. I’d say it’s a ridiculous idea to open stores on thanksgiving evening but don’t let the obsessive shoppers hear that.

Opening stores on thanksgiving is not only affecting shoppers quality time with their families but it’s also affecting the employees. It’s funny to think people are posting status’s on Facebook explaining how thankful they are for who and what they have in their lives. Yet, later that night they’re fighting someone for a 24’’ tv. In a few years, you can thank the stores for opening earlier and earlier on Thanksgiving night and putting an end to that holiday.

Animal Testing

Animal testing has always been a topic that I’ve been very passionate and heated by. Animal testing happens all around the world and has been happening for hundreds of years. This is a very argumentative topic that I believe everyone needs to be aware of. When researching this topic, I hope to find out that they can find another way to test products other than on innocent animals. Animal testing is a very cruel and inhumane process that needs to be put to an end.

Animal testing has been a huge debate for decades which is one reason why we need to prevent it from continuing on. Although humans benefit from animal testing, the suffering and pain it causes the animals is not worth the human benefits. Animals and humans are very much alike. Animals have feelings, experience pain, and think just as humans do. However, animals do not have the ability to make a choice. Innocent animals should not have to suffer because companies want to produce new eyeliner or an unnecessary vaccine.
